New Zealand Geography

New Zealand is on of the large earthquake countries in the world.

In 1885, the capital of New Zealand, Wellington was damaged by big earthquake called Wairarapa earthquake. It was caused by fault that ran from Wellington's north to the east. It wasthe biggest earthquake in the hitory of New Zealand, and the scale is guessed to be magnitude 8.2 at least. And, the most popular earthquake is Nepiar earthquake occured in 1931. The deadliest earthquake destroyed the ciyies of Napier, and 256 people died in the magnitude 7.8. By the earthquake, 200 buildings were destroyed. Now, almost all buildings were built again and changed the new city of Napier. However, the fear of the damage of this earthquake remain people's minds. In Japan, Hanshin-awaji earthquake occured in 1995 is the most famous earthquake. The magnitude was 7.3 and a lot of people died. Actually, 20 % earthquake in 1990s occured in New Zealand and Japan. Therefore, these tow countries called "two large earthquake countries" in the world. It is important to prepare to earthquakes.

New Zealand Geography

Taupo Lake is a very big lake in New Zealand. It is as large as Singapore. Its lake created about 2000years ago, and in those days it is said that its smoke cover and make Europe and China dark. Its surface area is 616k㎡, and the bottom of the lake is 186km. It is the biggest lake in New Zealand. The volcanic activity that produces this lake such as active volcanoes that soar in the lakefront and Tongariro National Park where the gush hole of steam and the warm water flow can be seen still here and there. Moreover, it can visit a still active geothermal activity such as the steams that make an eerie sound and gush and the boiling mud fountains in the part around the lake. In Japan, Biwa lake is the biggest and most famous. This lake is located in Shiga prefecture and many people come to see this lake. Its surface area is 670.33 k㎡, so Biwa is bigger than Taupo. This lake was made about 400~600 million years ago and the third ancient lakes in the world. Its water is used in Kyoto and Osaka.

The Chinese Moon Festival is on the 15th of the 8th lunar month. It's also known as the Mid-autumn Festival. Just like Christmas and Thanksgiving in the West, the Moon Festival is one of the most important traditional events for the Chinese.Why the festival called Moon festival and very famous in China? This is because the festival has a legend story. This storey says that a long time ago, Chang Er flew to the moon, where she has lived ever since. It is believed that people can see her dancing during The Moon Festivals. Also, Chinese think much of their own culture and traditional. The Moon Festival is also an occasion for family reunions. When the full moon rises, families get together to watch the full moon, eat moon cakes, and sing moon poem.The moon cake is the food for the Moon Festival.The Moon Festival is often compared to a sort of “Chinese Thanksgiving”because of its spirit of gratitude and its inclusion of abundant food — including the popular moon cake. Moon cakes are flaky, round, semi-sweet pastries often filled with bean or lotus-seed paste and topped with a duck egg, echoing the shape of the full moon. Many millions of moon cakes are gifted around the time of the Moon Festival.There are a hundred kinds of moon cakes and they are showing improvement every year. The Chinese eat the moon cake at night with the full moon in the skyems. The moon festival is a day that Chinese stop working. It's a holiday in China. If you go to China on that day, almost people might be at home and enjoy in the bosom of their family. It' a special day in China!

Movie

My favorite movie is Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi.. This movie was open to the public in 2004 in Japan as the studio Ghibli work. the story of this movie is very usual girls. Her name is Chihiro Ogino. One day, She and her parents find a strange tunnel. She is afraid, but her parents have curiosity and go to into the tunnel.It was on the hill in vast meadow that the exit had extended previously. A cold blue sky spreads out to the other side of the horizon, an old house is buried under ground, and the tiled roof lines up. There were none of quiet towns that were when advancing ahead, and the smell that stimulated the appetite was tossed there. Parents who trace the smell find the shop, and begin to eat the dish that has never been expected to be going to line up there. Because those dishes were the foods of the pantheon, parents are multiplied the curse, and become pigs. It is determined that 1000 fathoms left one person help parents by helping the boy neat of the mystery that meets in this world. I feel the interest of this movie as if the world of the imagination in the other side of which the train came out of the tunnel was connected with the real world really. Feelings to try to fight inevitably are transmitted also to easy what by hero's fineness of 1000 fathoms through the whole movie while felt admiration for the place where man's greed is expressed well. I think that it is a really good movie. We will recommend seeing once and seeing. The movie of studio Ghibli centers on the United States now and advances to foreign countries. This Spirited Away is nominated by Oscar and it has advanced to Venice International Film Festival. Hereafter, I want to expect it of the Ghibli work very much.

Diet is important to keep weigts, prevent obesity and keep body healty. Recently, fat people habe been increasing because of fat food like fast food. In Japan, it is popular diet whish use soy beans. So, I introduce some healthy food using soy beans. Soy beans' burgers, tofu burgers and soy beans' cookies are popular food. These are delicious and healthy. Have you ever tried to them? (2) I think that the movie of Home Alone is very interesting.
